SUMMARY:Camp & Hike at Glacier National Park (Rogers Pass) #2 & Optional La
 ke O’Hara
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for some hiking at Glacier National Park (Roger
 ’s Pass).\nThe plan is to stay 2 nights (tenting or cabins) and to hike 
 1 long and one short hike but that can be revised based on weather &amp\; 
 bear activity.  We will head towards Rogers Pass from Kamloops (3 hrs 15 
 mins) on Friday Aug 28 and will return to Kamloops on Sun\, Aug 30th.\nNot
 e: A group of 7 are also going to Lake O’Hara on Aug 30th for some hikin
 g &amp\; staying one night at the Elizabeth Parker Hut.\nPlanned Hikes:  
 Perley Rock 12.8 km (1145 m elevation change - 6 hrs\,  very steep) &amp\
 ; Great Glacier 8.4 km (320 m elevation change - 2.5 hrs)\n\nThe hikes for
  this event are all steep and require good physical endurance and conditio
 ning.  We will hike together as 'one' group as we are in 'bear' country s
 o you need to be able to keep up with the group's pace.\n\nYou are respons
 ible to book your own campsite or cabin and to get a Parks Canada pass.  
  You need to book 2 nights (Fri\, Aug 28th - Sun\, Aug 30).\n\n 	Illecill
 ewaet Campground - near all the trail heads and an ideal spot for a base c
 amp. Some individuals may want to share campsites as 2 tents and 2 vehicle
 s may be allowed per site. Reservations open Jan 29th\n 	Canyon Hot Spring
 s - Cabins &amp\; Camping\, hot showers and hot spring pool which is about
  30 mins away - Reservations open Feb 1st.\n\nPlease send an email to Moni
