SUMMARY:Camp & Hike at Glacier National Park (Rogers Pass) #1
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for some hiking at Glacier National Park (Roger
 ’s Pass).\nThe plan is to stay 4 nights (tenting or cabins) and to hike 
 2 long and one short hike but that can be revised based on weather &amp\; 
 bear activity.\nWe will head towards Rogers Pass from Kamloops (3 hrs 15 m
 ins) on Monday\, July 20th and will return to Kamloops on Friday\, July 24
 th.\n\nPlanned Hikes:  Abbott Ridge 15.6 km (1030 m elevation change)\, B
 alu Pass (12.8 km with 780 m elevation change) and Hermit (6.4 km 820 m el
 evation change).\n\nThe hikes for this event are all steep and require goo
 d physical endurance and conditioning.  We will hike together as 'one' gr
 oup as we are in 'bear' country so you need to be able to keep up with the
  group's pace.\n\nYou are responsible to book your own campsite or cabin a
 nd getting a Parks Canada pass.   You need to book 4 nights (Mon\, July 
 20 to Fri\, July 24):\n\n 	Illecillewaet Campground - near all the trail h
 eads and an ideal spot for a base camp. Some individuals may want to share
  campsites as 2 tents and 2 vehicles may be allowed per site. Reservations
  open Jan 29th\n 	Canyon Hot Springs - Cabins &amp\; Camping\, hot showers
  and hot spring pool which is about 30 mins away - Reservations open Feb 1
