SUMMARY:Clearwater Lake Paddle\, Hike\, and Camp
DESCRIPTION:A paddle up the lake to a marine campsite.\n\n 	final dates to 
 be decided\, but close to the dates published\n 	load canoes\, kayaks\, or
  paddleboards in Kamloops (make your own arrangements\, please)\n 	drive n
 orth through Clearwater\, then up the Clearwater Valley Road to the end of
  the road (127 km - two hours)\n 	load boats with gear at the boat launch\
 , and park vehicles in the adjacent BC Parks designated lot\; pay a $5 fee
  at the launch - meet at 10:00 (early to avoid windy conditions)\n 	paddli
 ng\, safety\, and camping equipment needed and dry bags are a good idea fo
 r stowing the gear\n 	paddle up the lake\, staying close to the shoreline\
 n 	paddle for about 1.5 hours+ (6 km)\n 	land at Diver's Bluff Marine Camp
 ground\n 	set up camp and have lunch\n 	hike up the Eagles View Trail and 
 back (3.5 km)\n 	optional evening paddle\, optional morning paddle\, and o
 ptional exploration\n 	campfire social in the evening\n 	break camp and pa
 ddle back to the boat launch\n 	scheduled for mid-week (less boats)\, afte
 r high water\, and after mosquito season\n 	options to stay an extra night
  on the lake\, but I will accompany anyone down the lake\, as needed\n 	I 
 have led many paddling adventures (inc. paddling Clearwater Lake many time
 s) and will be there to ensure safe practices\, in the unlikely event of a
  spill\, for direct rescue\, and to support/advise the group on gear\, etc
 .\, as needed\n 	This event is now full\, but cancellations may occur.\n 	
 If there is interest\, other paddle and hike trips can be organized (more 
 information link).\n 	Please note that as a volunteer\, I choose a date th
 at works for me\, a route I am interested in and know well\, and an outing
  that I think will benefit members.    The date may change at my discret
 ion if weather is "iffy"\, but not on request.   If the event is full\, 
 watch for cancellations. (Info on successful bookings.)\n 	Hikes are plann
 ed for the rest of the year\, with some to be listed on the KHC site.
