SUMMARY:Lower Mara "The Face"
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWe will lead a hike on the southwest area of Mara Mountain\
 , some scrambling will be involved. We will be following an off trail rout
 e that traverses below Mara Mt. then climbing to a wonderful viewpoint whe
 re we will stop for a snack/lunch. From here we will follow a steep narrow
  track down the west side of Mara Mt. past a feature "the FACE" Continuing
  down the mountain to the trailhead.\n\nWe will meet at the Aviation Way d
 og park\, (planning to depart by 10:00 am) note that there is road constru
 ction on Tranquille road past the Brock shopping center\, detour is in eff
 ect.  We can arrange carpooling and caravan to the trailhead across the t
 racks on Ord Rd. We will follow a route through the sagebrush\, cactus and
  probably ticks at a moderate pace. Dress for the conditions\, boots are p
 referred. poles can be helpful\, bring a snack\, your camera\, we will hik
 e together as a group as we will not be following a trail.
