DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe Lundbom grasslands near Merritt are beautiful in June\,
  usually lush with wildflowers.   For more info\, have a look at Doug Sm
 ith's article here.\n\nThis is an approximate 10km hike through grasslands
 \, open forest and small lakes to reach Sugarloaf hill\, with views over t
 he Nicola valley.  There is double track and singletrack.  Elevation gai
 n is around 350m.  3.5 -4 hrs on trail.\n\nBring a lunch\, plenty of wate
 r\, sun protection\, and the usual essentials.  Mosquitos may be out!\n\n
 We will meet at the parking near Dufferin Elementary School and arrange ca
 rpooling there to leave by 8:30. Please bring some cash for the drivers if
  sharing a ride.  It is just over an hour drive to the trailhead\, past M
