Membership Sign Up – Thank you to Frith for processing the Member Renewals and Registrations as well as our Treasurer, Erika for keeping the records current. It is volunteer driven and we appreciate our volunteers. After April 1st, the Board has decided to keep membership registration open; however, the registration will be manual and slower to process the paperwork. Patience will be needed. Also, it should be noted there is no proration of membership fees as it will remain at $35/year (from March 1 – Feb 28th). The Club needs active members and active members need the club.
We also need to recognize our Leaders and please remember to thank them as events can only be enjoyed if we have a leader(s). In the past year we would like to recognize the following: Bunny, Chris & Carla, Darlene, Doug M, Doug S, Ernie, Erika & Kevin, Ian, Katherine, Margo, Matt, Maureen, Monika, John & Carole, Sam, Sasha, and Sheila. If you have any interest in becoming a leader, please reach out to a member of the Board or another hike leader. You can ease into it by co-leading a hike!
AGM – the posting for the AGM is up. SAVE THE DATE – May 3rd, 2025. Thank you to Maureen for leading the hike up Gibraltar Rock. The posting has all the details. It is a wonderful social event for all those new and renewing members – meet new people and reconnect with others.
ATMOSPHERE – We have heard the disappointing news the Kamloops location (and others) will be closing as of June 30th, 2025. They will consolidate the operations with their parent company, Sport Chek. The Vendor Discount they have offered us in the past is no longer valid. We will update the Vendor Discount file.
TICKS – Please take precautions when hiking…visit the website canlyme.com for information on how to protect yourself.
