The Iron Mask area has a wealth of biking/hiking trails extending through Pineview Valley trails. I am planning a bit of an exploratory – Iron Mask Loop, plus Meep Meep and Roadrunner making the loop about 13-14 km with a few extra hills. There could well be some hardy mountain bikers out on the trails so we will keep an eye out. A variety of treed and open terrain with some nice views. We’ll make a lunchbreak at some point so bring a layer to keep warm. We’ll be going at a steady pace except for quite a few stops to check our route.
These trails are closed from November 1st to July 1st (cattle breeding and calving I believe) so let’s get in a good hike in here before they close.

We’ll meet at the Iron Mask trails parking area just before 10. The area is a few km up the Stake Lake road above the mobile home park on left hand side. It’s a pretty obvious spot but if you are unfamiliar with it I will meet you before the hike and guide you to it.
