A loop route in the Batchelor Hills

• meet-up at the Batchelor Hills meet-up spot at 9:00
• drive to the trailhead (3.1 km up the Lac du Bois Road, a then a short bumpy road to the parking area)
• hike on old double tracks and newer single tracks (multi-use) in an 8.5 km moderate loop route
• Stop for tea and a break at about the halfway mark
• Take the usual precautions and preparations
• The biking community has renamed some of the trails, but we hiked the Barren Hills loop routes for 30 years before they arrived.    The new trail names include Bighorn Loop, Cutoff, and Kow-a-Been-There.
• a suitable hike for all levels
• This event will only be active if there is sufficient interest 48 hours in advance.
