Description
A Snowshoe outing through the upper grasslands to the southwest ridge of Clapperton Hill, overlooking Lac du Bois Grasslands.
- With snow forecast for Sunday and Wednesday and warm temperatures on Thursday and Friday, it appears that Monday will be the best day for snowshoeing this route
- Meet at the Batchelor Hills meetup spot (link) at 10:00
- Carpool or convoy to the parking spot (pullout before McQueen Lake)
- Snowshoe on a grasslands track and then through open forests, and across grassland slopes, with a loop route back
- Tea/break at the viewpoint
- A moderate route at a moderate pace
- I did this route on Friday – Clapperton Ridge Snowshoe
- I hope to do another two snowshoes or hikes in the area in the next 10 days too.
