This is a beautiful area at Vernon with superb views over Kalamalka Lake. We will hike in starting from the Kidston Road access along to Rattlesnake Point, then follow various trails (Cairn, Lookout to Wall) to make a loop back to the cars. The hike will be 12-13 km depending on which loop we end up on!

Good trails, mostly rolling terrain, and of course we could see mtn bikers out there. We will stop for lunch at a viewpoint.

As the drive is about 1 1/2 hrs each way we will meet at 0730 at Valleyview Arena to carpool.Option to have supper in Vernon on the way home; we will organize that at the meet up and make sure you are in the right vehicle.

We will be stopping at the Railway Cafe at Kalamalka Lake en route to the hike to meet a local participant. There is no bathroom at trailhead so this is your last chance, and you can pick up awesome lunch stuff and goodies, coffee or whatever for the trail.
