Day 2 and 3 will find us hiking the loop trail passing Point Lace Falls, Angel’s Staircase Falls, Duchesnay Lake, Yoho Gorge, Laughing Falls, Twin Falls, Marpole Falls, Twin Falls Historical Chalet, and back to Takakkaw Falls and the car park. The trail is a total 15.2km over two days with an elevation gain of 770m.
Mon, July 7th – Meet at Takakkaw Falls Campground in the early afternoon. Setup camp. Take water bottles and cameras to hike 1km to the Takakkaw Falls.
Tues, July 8th – Leave Takakkaw Falls Campground. Hike 7.6km to Twin Falls with stops at Point Lace, Angel’s Staircase, Duchesnay Lake, Yoho Gorge, and Laughing Falls. Camp overnight at Twin Falls backcountry campsite. We’ll pass the Historic Tea House along the way, and, if we time it correctly, will be able to grab a snack.
Wed, July 9th – Leave Twin Falls campsite hike 7.6km to the Takakkaw Falls car park. If you wish to camp at Takakkaw for this last night, you will need to reserve the tent pad.
