Description
A hike in the Dewdrop Range.
- Meet at the Airport Way Dog Park meet-up spot at 10:00 (info link on the location).
- Carpool (organize your own ride) or convoy to the trailhead on the Frederick Road (a good gravel road)
- Hike the Bluebird Trail, then a loop over Dewdrop Ridge, and back down to the Bluebird Trail, west to a view spot, stop for lunch, then return on the Bluebird Trail to the start.
- A moderate and scenic route.
- Take the usual precautions for ticks.
- We should see some bluebirds, meadowlarks, and some early wildflowers. In keeping with the Spring theme, this will also be a nature hike.
- Hikers are asked to moderate their voices so that other hikers can enjoy the sounds of nature while out hiking. There is a Hiking Etiquette Policy found as a link in the KHC Guidelines and Expectations.
- Hikes are planned for the rest of the year, with some to be listed on the KHC site. The full list is updated regularly – link.

I’d really like to do this hike if it was on a Saturday/Sunday (not sure whether I could take day off work that Friday)?
nvm – have been able to take that day off work so will be able to join 😉
