Description
A hike on top of Red Plateau, from the Red Plateau Forest Service Road
- meet early to carpool/convoy at the Airport Way meet-up spot (Dog Park) at 9:00 am
- drive up the Tranquille – Criss Creek Road, then turn onto the Red Plateau FSR (gravel/high clearance)
- Hike a loop route with some stops along the way
- Mosquitoes will be out
- Since it is easy to get lost on the forested plateau, hikers will need stay together
- Lunch at a viewpoint along the way
- A scenic backcountry area
- For a smaller, low-key (not noisy) group
