A bit of an adventure route – up Cinnamon Ridge and down Mara Canyon

• Some steep sections, some slippery slopes, some light scrambling, but a good hike for anyone adventurous enough to try it out
• Meet at the Airport Way dog park (link to meet-up spots info) at 10 to carpool (organize your own) or convoy to the trail head > Tranquille Road > W. Ord Road > bumpy dirt road to the trailhead
• Hike together – up Cinnamon Ridge to the high point, a break at the top, down the steep slopes to the canyon, and a slow and careful hike down the canyon among the hoodoos, canyon walls, and a slot canyon, and then back out through the sagebrush to the trailhead

• Good boots are important and poles are recommended.
• A possibility of cactus and ticks…
• I have done this hike every year for 50 years, sometimes more than once in a year.    I hope to have an experienced co-leader along too.
• Hikers are asked to moderate their voices while hiking so that others (inc. the leader) can enjoy nature along the route.
• Draft for now, but enabled for registration closer to the posted date.
