A rugged hike in the hills on the east side of Vernon

• an early start – meet to carpool or convoy
• drive to Vernon, then east to Lavington
• drive up the King Edward FSR and the Brewer Road to the trailhead (gravel road)
• Hike a rugged route with some light scrambling – with great views.
• Good boots, strong ankles, good balance, and an open mind are needed.
• Lunch at a view spot
• Return home in the afternoon
• Hikers are asked to moderate their voices so that other hikers can enjoy the sounds of nature while out hiking.   There is a Hiking Etiquette Policy found as a link in the KHC Guidelines and Expectations.
• Tentative for now.    The date will be finalized and enabled for registration if there is sufficient interest (4 or more people).    This is one I will do either way.
• I may combine this with another hike in the area – Bluenose Mountain.
