KHC Hiking Etiquette
Some KHC Hiking Etiquette Guidelines Conversations on the trail should be kept at a respectful conversational level/volume so that other members of the group do not have to hear the dialogue. A number of our members also like to listen for the sounds of nature while out hiking on the trails. Turn down the volume on your mobile device while out on group hikes. Group hikes should be scent-free since someone else may be right behind you on a single track trail. If taking a break, move off the trail a ways to allow others to pass by unobstructed.
