A few items of note for early May:

• The hike, barbecue, and AGM meeting event was an enjoyable and successful day at Paul Lake.   A newsletter providing the minutes, election results, and reports will be published soon.    Thanks to the leaders who organized the day and also everyone who came out.
• Some minor changes to the Membership registration were made with a new button in a less prominent location and some links on the Membership page, but nothing substantive was changed.    Membership registration remains open for the season.   The Board will have a discussion on this at a later time.
• Newsletters and news items will mostly be done by the incoming President, starting with this short news update.    Regular newsletters will be published (about twice a month).    Members and non-members can subscribe to get an email for each newsletter (and unsubscribe as needed).    A widget is displayed on the right sidebar for interested followers.
• A slight shift in the Club’s direction will be slowly and collaboratively initiated and supported over the next months, and outlined in an upcoming newsletter.
• Our thanks to our current active hike leaders – the Wanderers (Erika, Kevin, Jamie, and Monika), Doug, Darlene, Ian and Liz, Maureen, Margo and Doug, and Matt.    We encourage other hike leaders to plan an event and there are people willing to help (Contact us).
• You can request a hike (a link on the sidebar) and someone will respond to each request.
• We are expanding our Club’s profile, mostly through social media.    Watch for new information.
