Winter Solstice Potluck
 Odd Fellows and Rebekah Hall booked for December 14, 2025.
 Setup at 4:30 pm. Potluck 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Cleanup after.
 Motion to fund $150 for hall rental. Motioned by Doug. Seconded by Denise. All
approved. Carried.
 Motion to fund $250 for door prizes. Motioned by Doug. Seconded by Darlene. All
approved. Carried.
 Darlene will create the event on the website, make a Facebook poster, and send to
Doug for newsletter.
 Darlene and Denise will purchase door prizes.
 Expecting an excellent gathering.
Snowshoe and Hot Dogs Event
 Scheduled for February 1, 2026 at Lodgepole Lake.
 Motion to approve $200 for food. Motioned by Denise. Seconded by Doug. All
approved. Carried.
 Denise will set up the event for website registration after the Winter Solstice
Potluck.
Backpackers Gear Swap and Training
 Scheduled for March 1, 2026. Location TBD.
 Darlene will organize this event.
 Event will include gear swap, training, and gear reviews.
 Designed to benefit both new and experienced hikers.
AGM and Equinox Potluck
 Scheduled for April 5, 2026 at Odd Fellows and Rebekah Hall.
 Motion to approve $150 to book the hall. Motioned by Denise. Seconded by Doug. All
approved. Carried.
 Motion to raffle 2 KHC memberships as door prizes. Motioned by Doug. Seconded by
Denise. All approved. Carried.
General Discussion Items
 Registration for Berg Lake Circuit and Bowron Lakes Circuit opens December 2,
2025.
 High interest for a summer backpack trip. Darlene will email Hike Leaders to
explore planning options.
 City of Kamloops promotes ‘Try it Free’ spring activities. Denise will contact the City
regarding organizing a Try it Free Hike. Suggested location: Battle Bluff.
Agenda items include a Christmas Potluck and Social (Dec. 14), a winter snowshoe and bonfire hot dog roast and social, a backpack introduction/training event, and the spring AGM.    Other matters may also be discussed and the membership is invited to forward any suggestions to info@kamloopshikingclub.net or to any Board member (link).  Thanks to Denise, Darlene, and Erika for getting this process started.

Events will be posted to the website once the details are worked out and also included in the December 1st newsletter.
