With summer winding down we are hoping that we can return to a regular schedule of weekly hikes.    Watch the website for updates.     Our thanks to the hike leaders who led a series of interesting outings over the summer.

Each year we try to recruit more hike leaders to support KHC’s activity program.   At this time, we are asking members to consider whether they can volunteer a bit of time to organize a hike for the club.    Anyone interesting in trying it out will be supported by at least one experienced hike leader for as long as needed.    A new leader could start as a co-leader, helping another leader with an event.    A small step up is to lead a hike but have a hike leader post the event and come along on the hike.   Another alternative is to organize the event, but have someone else lead the way.   A number of trails require very little navigation and many of our members know the way anyway.

Do you have a particular hiking interest (ie waterfalls, summits, backpacking, paddling, snowshoeing, social events, etc.)?    KHC Leaders get to choose the day, the time, the route, and the type of event they enjoy, then they invite others to join in.
