A hike to a unique spot in the backcountry

• Meet early to carpool or convoy (tba)
• Drive the long gravel road to the trailhead (Jamieson Creek FSR – Wind Lake FSR – Skoatl Rd. (km)
• Hike on a good trail through a burnt-but-recovering forest, past a lake, and up to the volcanic cone core
• Scramble up to the top on a series of ledges
• Not for anyone with vertigo or a fear of heights
• Wide views from the summit
• Lunch on top before hiking back
• A long day in the backcountry.
