A hike to an unique hill on the Bonaparte Plateau

• Meet at Westsyde Shopping Center at 9:00 to carpool/convoy
• A longer drive to the trailhead – Westsyde Road, Jamieson Creek FSR, Windy Lake FSR, and Skoatl FSR

• Hike through a burn, past a backcountry lake, then scramble up a volcanic basalt core to the summit
• Lunch on top, then return by the same route
• This is not a hike for everyone.    It is in a very remote area and the route is a bit rougher, then the climb has some exposure, scrambling up a series of ledges.    I have done this hike many times, and everyone has survived so far, but it is an adventure.
