A paddle-hike-paddle adventure

• Load boats in Kamloops, then drive to Scotch Creek and park at the boat launch (map) for a 9:00 start
• Launch from the ramp/beach and paddle to Copper Island
• Paddle to Copper Island (2 km) and land on a gravel beach on the east side
• Secure the boats, then hike around the island (2 km) on a good trail
• Lunch on the beach
• Paddle back to Scotch Creek, staying in contact, since winds may arise
• This can be done with a kayak, canoe, or SUP, but safety gear is required
• I have done this a few times and have enjoyed the outing
• A date is chosen, but we will avoid windy days so it could be moved 1-2 days in either direction
• We can help with unloading boats, but participants have to transport them on their own or with someone’s help; we will provide safety and rescue support, as needed
• Interest has been shown so its now open for registration.
