Description
A mid-week hike up into the East Trophy Mountain Range (one of 9 summits)
- Meet early to carpool/convoy (tbd)
- Drive to Wells Gray Park, then up the Trophy Mountain Road, then a turn onto the Spahats Creek Forest Service Road
- Park at the trailhead, near the 12.8 km mark on this backroad
- Hike good trails up to a viewpoint (past Trophy Mountain Lodge)
- loop back past alpine tarns (a good place to cool off)
- a scenic and remote route
- a longer day (drive, longer hike, drive back)
- I have done this hike a few times….
- a date is selected, but we will watch the weather…
