Early July, we will post a hike to the Trophy Meadows and Plateau of Tarns. The exact date will be selected when the weather is looking good. We will meet at (time to be selected) at the Paul Lake meet up location where people can arrange car pooling before convoying to Clearwater and then to the trailhead. We will take a short pit stop at the Wells Gray Info Center for a washroom break, before driving to the trailhead (30 minutes) road was in good condition. This will be about a 5 hour hike, it is about 13 km return hike with about 500 meter climb. The pace will allow ample time to enjoy the display of flowers and to take photos. We will take a short break at the Shepard’s cabin (outhouse) After passing the cabin, the trail begins to climb again, we may encounter snow on the trail. We will have lunch overlooking Sheila Lake, Dress for the conditions, bring a change of footwear for the return drive home. Bugs and bears may be in the area, please come prepared. Expect a 2 hour drive each way, taking a washroom break in Clearwater.
