This will be a mostly off trial hike (i.e. Tramp) up to and along Watching Bluffs. On the way up, at the base of the Bluffs, we will explore the small caves.
*Please note*: There will be some steep sections; loose scree scrambling and some tougher scrambling. Not for beginners. A good fitness level is required as we will go at a steady pace.
On the Bluffs, we will skirt the edges to view the small hoodoos and the viewscape down the Tranquille Valley.
Lunch will be up on the Bluffs.
Meet up for carpooling at the Aviation Way Dog Park at 9:30am.
Hi everyone! I just did a bike ride along the Dead Coyote Trail in the lower Dewdrop and found a lot of ticks on me at the car. Gaitors or pants tucked into light coloured pants would be a good idea. Bring some insect repellent too. Watching is a different area, but let’s be prepared. Thanks!
