Please join us for some hiking at Glacier National Park (Roger’s Pass).

The plan is to stay 2 nights (tenting or cabins) and to hike 1 long and one short hike but that can be revised based on weather & bear activity.

We will head towards Rogers Pass from Kamloops (3 hrs 15 mins) on Friday Aug 28 and will return to Kamloops on Sun, Aug 30th.

Planned Hikes:  Perley Rock 12.8 km (1145 m elevation change – 6 hrs,  very steep) & Great Glacier 8.4 km (320 m elevation change – 2.5 hrs)

The hikes for this event are all steep and require good physical endurance and conditioning.  We will hike together as ‘one’ group as we are in ‘bear’ country so you need to be able to keep up with the group’s pace.

You are responsible to book your own campsite or cabin and to get a Parks Canada pass.   You need to book 2 nights (Fri, Aug 28th – Sun, Aug 30).

• Illecillewaet Campground – near all the trail heads and an ideal spot for a base camp. Some individuals may want to share campsites as 2 tents and 2 vehicles may be allowed per site. Reservations open Jan 29th
• Canyon Hot Springs – Cabins & Camping, hot showers and hot spring pool which is about 30 mins away – Reservations open Feb 1st.
