Happy Canada Day With warmer temperatures, it’s important to hike (and enjoy all your other outdoor activities too) smart.  Choose early morning starts whenever possible, carry plenty of water, wear sun protection, and know your limits.  Remember that conditions can change quickly, so always check the weather forecast before heading out and be prepared to adjust your plans if needed.  Did you know our website has a link and shows the current weather conditions for Kamloops at a glance? The AGM/Social/Backpack Training/Gear Swap was held on April 12th. Thank you to Darlene for the Backpack Training session and to everyone who helped make the event a success. Key updates from the meeting: Outgoing President Doug Smith led the AGM and presented the President’s Report. Ongoing Treasurer Erika Herndier presented the year-end Treasurer’s Report. Elections were completed, and Darlene recorded the minutes. The 2025-2026 Board of Directors was elected.  Darlene Clark – President; Denise Magrath – Vice-President; Erika Herndier – Treasurer; Doug Morris – IT Services & Pamela Black – Secretary.
