Description

A hike from Stake Lake over McConnell Hill.

  • Meet at the Stake Lake parking area at 9:00 am
  • Hike double track trails to the start of the snowshoe trail up McConnell Hill.    Continue to the lookout shelter.    A break for a snack and tea at the lookout.   Return by other trails for a loop route.
  • Mosquitoes will be out so bring spray/protection.
  • Bring sun protection and fluids.     Some shaded areas along the route.
  • Cool off at the lake when we’re finished.

  3. Cancelled due to smoky conditions. Another time, perhaps.
    Smoke forecasts can be seen at firesmoke.ca. The forecast is for the smoke to clear by midnight, but to be on the safe side, we will cancel anyway.
