The AGM/Social/Backpack Training/Gear Swap was held on April 12th. Thank you to Darlene for the Backpack Training session and to everyone who helped make the event a success.

Key updates from the meeting:

• Outgoing President Doug Smith led the AGM and presented the President’s Report.
• Ongoing Treasurer Erika Herndier presented the year-end Treasurer’s Report.
• Elections were completed, and Darlene recorded the minutes.
• The 2025-2026 Board of Directors was elected.  Darlene Clark – President; Denise Magrath – Vice-President; Erika Herndier – Treasurer; Doug Morris – IT Services & Pamela Black – Secretary.

• A huge thank you to the 2025–2026 Board of Directors and our Hike Leaders for their dedication over the past year.

As spring arrives, please be mindful of ticks. To stay safe, remain on defined trails and avoid grasslands when possible. Most importantly, perform thorough tick checks during and after your hike.

It is wonderful to see so many new members on the trails. If you haven’t already, please review the New Members Information. We have many hiking routes available, and while we typically publish three or more events per week, we would love to offer more.

Just a reminder as a member, you are eligible for discounts on gear at various vendors.  For the information, look under “Club Info” and then Vendor Discounts.

We are always looking for additional hike leaders to plan and organize hikes for the club especially for weekends.   If you are interested in leading hikes and helping the club please contact us.

New events are posted regularly so keep an eye out for new events and for open spots as cancellations often occur a few days before the event.  We hope to see you on the trails soon!
